Rodin Museum

The Rodin museum boasts more than 6600 sculptures shared between the Hotel Biron in Paris and the Villa des Brillants in Meudon (Little city in the western suburb of Paris). The Hotel Biron is located on the left bank just a stone's throw from the Invalides. The most famous masterpieces at the Rodin museum include The Gate of Hell, Ugolino, The Kiss and of course The Thinker. Its nice garden also hosts a few large sculptures..

History

The Rodin museum is housed since 1919 in the Hotel Biron, a private mansion built in 1728 by architect Jean Aubert, which was bought in 1753 by Duke of Biron..
